The Roof Gardens is a lush sanctuary teeming with exotic wildlife and themed gardens hoisted 100 feet above Kensington High Street. Its as far removed from a couple of token pot plants as it's possible to get, with one-and-a-half acres of Spanish and English woodland up on the roof of this former department store, making it the largest roof garden in Europe. The woodland garden comprises a pond complete with ducks and flamingoes. It's often hired out for events (check before you go during the week), but Friday and Saturday nights in the summer boast a Tudor barbecue before the club.
